Mastering Camera Settings: A Hands-On Workshop

Mastering Camera Settings

Take full control of your camera settings and capture stunning images with confidence. This Camera Settings Workshop will teach you the essential foundations of photography, including the Exposure Triangle, Metering, Histogram, Depth of Field, and Motion Control with Shutter Speed.

This immersive workshop is designed for photographers of all levels who want to move beyond auto mode and learn how to make intentional, creative choices with their camera.

What You’ll Learn

  • The Exposure Triangle – Understand how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together to create a well-exposed image. Learn to balance these settings for different lighting conditions and creative effects.
  • Metering Modes – Learn how your camera reads light and how to choose the right metering mode (spot, center-weighted, or evaluative) to get the perfect exposure in various scenarios.
  • The Histogram – Decode the histogram to analyze exposure accuracy and avoid underexposed or overexposed images.
  • Depth of Field (DoF) – Control background blur and sharpness using aperture settings to achieve beautiful portraits or detailed landscapes.
  • Controlling Motion with Shutter Speed – Freeze fast action or create artistic motion blur by mastering shutter speed techniques.
