Treasure Coast Photography Center — Photo Shoots

The Treasure Coast Photography Center photo shoots are immersive, hands-on experiences designed to challenge how you see, think, and photograph. Each shoot combines intentional set design, guided creative direction, and real-world problem solving—giving photographers the opportunity to explore narrative, technique, and visual storytelling in ways that go far beyond casual shooting.

To preserve safety, creative focus, and meaningful instructor interaction, participation is intentionally limited. Most photo shoots are capped at 12 photographers.

The 2026 Photo Shoots are evolving.
Be sure to check back often—this page will be updated regularly as new shoots are announced and registration opens.

Concepts in Art Photography: A Creative Photo Shoot Experience April 11 – 11AM – 2:30PM

Vertical Photography (Rated PG-13)

Who this shoot is for:
Photographers who enjoy physical engagement, creative problem-solving, unconventional perspectives, and collaborative set design.

This long-awaited shoot challenges conventional perspective by placing photographers above the scene, shooting straight down onto two custom-built three-dimensional sets arranged on the ground. Participants must be physically able to climb an eight-foot ladder and move across a smooth overhead platform—this access is essential to making the images. Beyond photographing, participants collaborate in designing the sets and shaping the lighting. This is a rare opportunity to rethink space, depth, and composition in a completely new way.

Water (Rated PG-13)

Who this shoot is for:
Photographers drawn to dramatic lighting, motion, texture, and imaginative studio environments.

This visually rich shoot explores water as both a physical element and a storytelling tool. Using a shallow water containment system inside the studio, scenes may include bathtubs, rain effects, and imaginative concepts such as a mermaid setup. Working with a model, photographers focus on timing, reflections, texture, and mood. Water introduces unpredictability, making this shoot both challenging and rewarding for photographers who enjoy dynamic environments and visually striking results.

Leopard / Wildlife / Animal Shelter / Lunch (Rated GA)

Who this shoot is for:
Photographers who enjoy variety, storytelling across multiple locations, environmental portraiture, and candid human-animal interaction.

This multi-stage experience blends art, illusion, and community engagement into one unforgettable day. The shoot begins at the studio with behind-the-scenes access to a body-painting transformation, turning a model into an endangered leopard. From there, photographers move to a local park for environmental imagery, then continue to the Palm City Humane Shelter to photograph animals seeking adoption. The day concludes with a late lunch, documenting candid public interactions between people and our “leopard” in real-world settings—offering exceptional narrative range and visual variety.

Seasons (Rated PG-13)

Who this shoot is for:
Photographers who enjoy stylized sets, working with models, seasonal themes, and creating visually recognizable imagery.

This themed shoot celebrates holidays and seasonal imagery throughout the year, from Easter and the Fourth of July to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and beyond. Featuring a model and carefully styled sets, the imagery leans toward a tasteful pin-up aesthetic while remaining grounded in seasonal storytelling. Photographers focus on posing, expression, and visual cues that instantly communicate time and mood—making this shoot both creatively enjoyable and practically useful.
