Transform ordinary objects into extraordinary works of art in this exciting, hands-on studio experience.
Join Maureen Mackenzie, Charlie Hutchins, and Val Bormanis for an immersive Still Life Photography Workshop designed to inspire your creativity and elevate your studio photography skills.
The creative heart of this workshop is Maureen Mackenzie, who will thoughtfully design three beautiful still life sets using her remarkable collection of vintage objects, antiques, and unique artifacts. Drawing upon her artistic vision and meticulous attention to detail, Maureen will demonstrate how carefully selected objects, textures, colors, and composition come together to create compelling photographic art.
Using her extensive collection of props and artifacts, you’ll design your own original still life while receiving guidance from the instructional team. Charlie Hutchins will help participants master the art of studio lighting, demonstrating how light shapes mood, texture, and dimension. Val Bormanis will be on hand throughout the workshop, providing personalized assistance and helping participants refine every detail of their composition and photographic technique.
Whether you’re interested in fine art photography, commercial product photography, or simply expanding your creative vision, you’ll leave with new skills and a portfolio of striking images.
Just when you think you’ve captured the perfect photograph, the studio lights will go out.
The final portion of the workshop features an exciting Light Painting Session, where you’ll use a variety of handheld light sources to “paint” your still life during long exposures. This creative technique produces dramatic, one-of-a-kind images that simply can’t be created any other way.
