For years, TCPC members have enjoyed Mark Smith’s imaginative and often unconventional photographic productions. His ability to transform simple ideas into visually striking images has made his photo shoots among the most anticipated events at the Center. From dramatic storytelling concepts to inventive lighting designs and cinematic scenes, Mark continually challenges photographers to see beyond the ordinary.
Lights, Color, Action is Mark’s latest creative adventure.
Designed and directed entirely by Mark, this workshop explores the exciting world of colored lighting, black lights, smoke effects, and special visual techniques. Drawing on his unique artistic vision, Mark has created a series of imaginative setups that will allow photographers to experiment with color, mood, motion, and storytelling in ways rarely explored in traditional portrait sessions.
Working with model Cassidy, participants will photograph a variety of scenes ranging from dramatic portraits to dynamic action-oriented concepts. Every setup has been carefully planned to encourage creativity while helping photographers learn techniques they can apply to their own work.
This is more than a workshop. It is an opportunity to step inside the creative process of one of TCPC’s most imaginative photographers and discover how lighting, color, and visual storytelling can transform an image.
