Free Zoom Workshop

Creating Multiple Images in One Frame
Date: January 11
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Format: Live on Zoom
Cost: Free for TCPC members

What This Workshop Covers

This is a practical session designed to give you tools you can immediately use for contests and personal projects.

We’ll cover:

  • How to conceptually plan a Then & Now or story-based multi-image photograph
  • Visual strategies for combining images so they read as one cohesive frame
  • Common mistakes judges see — and how to avoid them
  • How multi-image frames are evaluated in competition settings

Live Demonstrations Using Two Applications

We’ll demonstrate two accessible workflows:

  • PowerPoint — a fast, simple, and surprisingly effective option
  • Photoshop — for more precision, flexibility, and refinement

You’ll see how to:

  • Size and align images cleanly
  • Control spacing, borders, and visual balance
  • Export your final image correctly for contest submission

Why This Matters

Multi-image frames can significantly strengthen storytelling — when done intentionally. This workshop prepares you not only for this month’s “Then and Now” contest, but also for the October “A Story: Three Images in One Frame” contest later in the year.

Whether you’re new to composites or looking to refine your approach, you’ll leave with a repeatable workflow you can use again and again.

We look forward to seeing you on Zoom and helping you build stronger, more compelling multi-image photographs.
