Welcome to Wednesday Discussion Groups!
The Evaluation Process
To guide the critique, participants evaluate images using a rubric that focuses on five key categories:
- Composition
- Lighting
- Focus & Sharpness
- Creativity
- Emotional Impact
Each category is scored using the following scale (creativity is the illustration):
- 1: Lacks creativity; very conventional.
- 2: Fair creativity; somewhat original.
- 3: Good creativity; shows some unique elements.
- 4: Very creative; unique perspective.
- 5: Highly creative; exceptionally original and unique.
Scoring and Final Evaluation
The scores for each image are tallied, resulting in a final evaluation:
- 5-9: Needs Improvement
- 10-14: Fair
- 15-19: Good
- 20-24: Very Good
- 25: Excellent
This structured yet supportive approach encourages participants to think critically about their work, embrace new perspectives, and celebrate each other’s creativity.
