Get ready for a studio experience full of creativity, connection, and stunning photos that will leave you inspired!
Before attending this photography workshop, participants should have a basic understanding of the following skills to make the most of the experience:
1. Camera Operation
- Understanding manual mode (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
- Knowing how to switch between autofocus and manual focus
- Selecting the correct metering mode (matrix, center weighted or spot)
2. Composition & Framing
- Rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing techniques
- Using negative space effectively
- Positioning subjects for balanced and dynamic shots
3. Lighting Basics
- Adjusting exposure for different lighting conditions
- Understanding soft vs. harsh light (e.g., diffusers, reflectors)
4. Working with Models
- Giving clear and confident posing directions
- Capturing candid and natural expressions
- Communicating effectively for comfort and collaboration
5. Basic Post-Processing
- Understanding RAW vs. JPEG formats
- Making simple edits in Lightroom or Photoshop (exposure, color correction, cropping)
- Retouching skin tones and enhancing details subtly
6. Lens & Gear Knowledge
- Knowing which lens to use for different scenarios (portrait, wide-angle, telephoto)
- Understanding depth of field and bokeh effects
- Bringing essential accessories (tripod, extra batteries, memory cards)
Since this workshop features several models and upscale sets, having a foundational grasp of these skills will help photographers focus more on creativity rather than troubleshooting technical issues.
